I'm a former Manhattan prosecutor and federal criminal defense lawyer. I've lived in courtrooms, the grand jury, and in-house at a hospitality company that centered its hiring around human trafficking survivors and justice-involved individuals.

I have tried multiple federal and state cases to verdict as first-chair and argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. I know how the government builds cases because I built them.

Outside the courtroom, I'm a Mama of two boys.

PRACTICE AREAS

WHO I REPRESENT

WHAT I BRING TO EVERY MATTER

Prosecutorial experience that anticipates government strategy from the inside out

Technical fluency at the intersection of law, technology, and complex business

Trial-tested advocacy in state and federal courts

Strategic negotiation of non-prosecution agreements and dismissals

Cultural competence and multilingual capabilities — Mandarin fluent, Spanish and Japanese conversational

"Many of my clients are navigating the U.S. justice system for the first time. I was on the other side of it, building cases. That changes how I show up for them."

I represent people often left unheard in the legal system: immigrants, business owners, and families at a crisis moment. My clients range from Ivy League professors and physicians to immigrant entrepreneurs, bitcoin experts, and former government advisors facing federal investigations.

My clients live and operate across borders. A U.S. criminal investigation can trigger cross-border collateral consequences - visa issues, foreign asset exposure, reputational risk in multiple jurisdictions. I have spent my career navigating exactly that intersection.

BEFORE LAWYERING

Born and raised in Queens, NYC's "world's borough." A proud product of New York City public schools. I was raised by a fierce grandma who spoke Spanish, Shanghainese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and English all at once. I spent summers in Taipei, Beijing, and Tokyo, experiences that shaped how I think about language, culture, and what it truly means to code-switch.

Before law school I worked in retail, at a pager store (remember those?), a bakery cafe & restaurant, a Starbucks café at Barnes and Noble, as a paralegal at USAO (EDNY), and as a hagwon (cram school) teacher. Not all at once.

I speak Mandarin fluently, with working knowledge of Spanish and Japanese. I can barely order in Cantonese and Taiwanese.

I graduated from Boston University School of Law and Mount Holyoke College (B.A., International Relations, cum laude).
